Warranty and Service

Last updated: July 2026

At Master Time, we believe that buying a quality watch should come with peace of mind, professional service, and long-term support. That is why we provide a warranty on the watches we sell, both online and in our store, and continue to offer professional service and repair even after your purchase.

Warranty on Wristwatches

All watches sold by Master Time carry a 24-month warranty from the date the product is delivered, unless a different period is specified on the product page. The warranty follows the manufacturer's or importer's terms and covers the watch mechanism (movement) only. Some models carry a different warranty period; where that is the case, the information shown on the product page applies.

What the Warranty Covers

The warranty is intended to cover internal faults in the watch mechanism that result from a defect in the product or a malfunction in the movement during normal use. For example:

  • A watch that runs unusually slow.
  • A watch that runs unusually fast.
  • A watch that does not keep proper time.
  • An internal malfunction in the mechanism that is not caused by external damage.

In these cases, the product will be inspected by Master Time, the importer, or an authorized laboratory, and if necessary, repaired free of charge under warranty.

The Warranty Is Not Insurance

The warranty is not an insurance policy. It does not provide coverage for damage caused by improper use, impact, dropping, water entry, breakage, or natural wear and tear. Its purpose is to protect the integrity of the mechanism under normal use only.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

The warranty does not cover the following:

Physical damage

Knocks, falls, dents, fractures, cracks, scratches, scuffs, and bent parts.

Water and liquid entry

Water ingress, vapor, soap, cleaning agents, and moisture damage. Even when a watch is described as water-resistant, it must be used in line with the manufacturer's instructions and its stated water-resistance level. If water or steam enters the watch, stop using it and have it inspected as soon as possible; prompt treatment may prevent irreversible damage to the mechanism.

Natural wear and tear

Color fading, coating wear, peeling, change of shade, loss of shine, and the natural wear of the watch's parts.

External parts

Straps, bracelets, brackets, crown, front glass, back glass, bezel, screws, pins, hands, and the dial.

Stones and inlays

The loss or damage of zircons, crystals, diamonds, or any other inlays.

Batteries

Batteries are not covered by the warranty.

Service by an unauthorized party

Any opening, repair, or handling of the product by anyone not authorized by Master Time may void the warranty.

Ceramic Products

Ceramic requires special care, as it is more prone to impact and breakage. The warranty does not cover breakage of ceramic products. Where damage occurs, replacement parts may be available to order for a fee, subject to availability.

Color and Coatings

Coated and plated products are not covered for color or plating. Over time, you may see coating wear, a change of shade, loss of shine, or peeling, which can be caused by contact with water, soap, perfumes, creams, sweat, cleaning agents, moisture, friction, and everyday use.

Products made of solid 14K gold or above carry a lifetime warranty on the color of the metal only.

Repair Service and Laboratory

Even after the warranty period ends, we remain available to our customers. Through our laboratory services, and depending on the product and the availability of parts, we can provide:

  • Mechanism repairs.
  • Glass replacement.
  • Crown replacement.
  • Strap replacement.
  • Shortening and extending bracelets.
  • Battery replacement.
  • Seal repairs.
  • Ordering spare parts.

Where a particular part is not in stock, it may need to be specially ordered from the manufacturer or importer. Delivery of special-order parts may take up to 30 days, or longer depending on availability.

Sending a Watch for Inspection or Repair

When service is needed, the watch should be brought or sent to Master Time for professional inspection. In some cases, it will be sent to a certified laboratory or the importer for diagnosis and repair. Treatment usually takes up to 21 business days and may vary depending on the type of fault, the availability of parts, and the laboratory's workload. We make every effort to complete each repair as quickly as possible and to keep you updated throughout the process.

Jewelry Warranty

Unless expressly stated otherwise, jewelry sold on the site is provided without a warranty. This includes branded jewelry, 925 silver jewelry, jewelry sold separately, jewelry sold as part of a set, and jewelry given as a gift. To keep your jewelry looking its best, we recommend avoiding contact with water, perfumes, and creams, removing it before showering or exercising, and storing it in a dry, protected place.

Our Service Does Not End With the Purchase

We believe that true service is measured even after you receive your product. We continue to support our customers after purchase with professional customer service, a certified laboratory, and years of experience in watches and jewelry. For any questions, issues, or advice, we are happy to help.
